So much for “testament”. The lack of a decently-sized monitor on my desk quickly became an ergonomic nightmare. It was to be expected, admittedly, but when I set up the room, I wanted to make a statement. I put emotional value front and center, literally, and I was jazzed about the results as it was in stark contrast to how my previous bedroom looked. For the most part, I am still happy with my decisions, but I think the radio was too much. I like it a lot, but fact is that it serves no practical purpose. Since it took up so much valuable space, I had to be creative with how I was working on my laptop. Several weeks of bad posture later, however, I’ve realized I can’t keep working like that. So, I made some minimal but significant changes. The radio is now on top of the dresser, and in its original place is a monitor that does not require having to put my back, neck or arms in any questionable positions.
On a separate note: it’s been one whole month today since I bought my bonsai. Taking care of it and seeing it grow brings me great joy.
