Hirokazu Koreeda is directing the live action adaptation of the manga “Look Back”. I want to take a note of this, because it’s become so rare for me to feel any genuine excitement for anything, much less a movie. I just randomly came across the movie’s trailer some minutes ago and I’m over the moon. I have not watched the trailer—and I’m not going to. I don’t even know the source material or its anime adaptation, but I know just enough about the premise to know that it is something I’m interested in seeing. What really sent my excitement through the roof, though, is that one of my favorite directors of all time is in charge of it. It feels nice to be so excited about something.
